OUR TEAM
We are looking for a positive and dynamic individual with a passion for working with children requiring support with behavior and emotional issues. The program is designed to offer support for children, youth, families and school staff with the general goal of improving the student's personal, social and academic success. The successful candidate must posses exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to provide support and resources to students, teachers and care givers.
The successful applicant will act as a resource and provide a liaison between families and the allocated schools to improve parent/school communications, and the child’s social and in-school success.
Candidate will also have the following skills / qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child/Youth Studies or related Social Science required with current registration with professional regulatory body preferred.

Experience working with children and families.

Must be energetic, dependent, reliable with the capability of managing a work-load as required.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team in a variety of settings, i.e. - agency, home, school, community settings.

Ability to take direction and work independently.

Excellent observation and problem-solving skills
-
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Able to obtain successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
