Hello, my name is JoAnne Gipman. Evidently, I am lifer at Catholic Family Services! The going joke is that I am the “dinosaur” at the office, you know, kind of like part of the furniture!

Anyways, I am married with three adult children and very proudly a grandmother of two AWESOME grandchildren.

I also spend some of my spare time attending to my personally owned company, Foundations for Families.

I enjoy travelling, camping, backyard fires and spending time with family and friends.

I love my liaison position at Catholic Family Services, this school year I have been assigned St. Kateri, and St. Mary Beaverlodge. I’ve also been assigned the team lead position for the Liaison program and enjoy learning effective leadership and support for the team. Have a great year!!!

Hi! My name is Katie Bucknell and I was born and raised in Grande Prairie! I’ve been with Catholic Family Services as a School/Family Liaison since March 2019. I love being apart of this agency and providing support in whichever ways I can to students so they can be as successful as possible throughout the school year. I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology through Athabasca University. Outside of work, I love to be outdoors and am such a sports lover! I also love going for walks with my dog, travelling, and spending time with family and friends as much as possible!

Hi! My name is Sage Bagan Curry and I was born and raised in Grande Prairie. I graduated through the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education in 2014. Since graduating I have dedicated my career to helping children and families through different stages of their lives while working with various non profits around the city. 

I have been with Catholic Family Services as a Family/School Liaison Worker since September 2018. I completely enjoy this position and getting to know the students and their families! I love to build relationships with games and humor while simultaneously meeting them where they are at.

My name is Tara Smoke and I have been a Family/School Liaison with Catholic Family Services since 2017.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Calgary and have previously worked with at-risk youth in an outreach school setting.  I enjoy getting to know and support children and families as a liaison and believe in the power of building relationships.  I am a married mother of 2 pretty great humans who I learn from daily.  I love to read, go camping, and socialize with friends and family.

Hi! My name is Sarah Rosvold, I was born and raised in the County of Grande Prairie and graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Calgary in 2016. I have been one of the Liaisons since September of 2017, I LOVE this role as I get to build relationships with such cool kiddos and support them where ever is needed! I love spending time with my kids, when not at work, you will probably find us working on the farm, playing hockey or reading books!

Hello! Bonjour! My name is Natasha Bergeron and I was born and raised in Grande Prairie. I am the School Facilitator here at Catholic Family Services and I facilitate presentations related to mental health throughout GPCSD schools and at ENF. I have been a part of this amazing team since September 2020 and I am loving every minute of it. I get to help young minds become aware of their relationships, mental health and themselves in a positive way. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the Campus Saint-Jean of the University of Alberta in 2020. Outside of work I love camping, spending time with my family, volunteering in the community and baking!

I am a married mother of one with one on the way (plus a dog) and I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love working as a Liaison and getting to know the students that I work one on one with through games and fun activities. I love music, movies, animals, and hanging out!

Hello, my name is Margaret Cruikshank. I was born and raised in the Peace Country and graduated from Grant MacEwan University with a degree in Child and Youth Care in 2010. This is my first year as a liaison worker, previously I worked in Edmonton in TSIL homes for youth. Since moving to Grande Prairie I have focused on caring for my own children. To relax I enjoy going for walks, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Hello, my name is Kayla French. I am from British Columbia, I relocated to Grande Prairie in 2014. Myself, husband and two children moved here for a sense of community to raise our young family and Grande Prairie felt like the best choice. I am currently a completing a Bachelors of Social Work at the University of Calgary, expecting to graduate Fall of 2023. I am so excited to join the Catholic Family Liaison team to work with students and families navigate the most influential years of the students lives. I enjoy chasing water falls, hiking, camping and paddle boarding when I can escape winters and engaging within our community at events over the winter months. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year to watch all the students learn and grow.

I graduated from the University of Lethbridge in the spring of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a double minor in French & Sociology. I began with Catholic Family Services in the fall of 2021 as a School & Family Liaison. Being a part of this agency is very rewarding and I enjoy each and every student and family I work with! I love working with youth, and I find that I can learn just as much from them, as they can learn from me. Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering, being outdoors, camping, walking my dogs, and spending time with my friends and family!

Hello! My name is Della Jones. I am originally from small town Saskatchewan. My husband and I moved to the peace country almost twenty years ago.  We have enjoyed raising our three children in the area ever since. We love spending time outdoors snowmobiling, fishing, camping but most of all spending time together.  I have a history in psychiatric nursing, a diploma in social work and am currently working on a bachelor’s degree in human services.  I have spent most of working life in the helping field, worked almost a decade as an Educational Aide and Substitute teacher. My lifelong dream has been to be a Liaison in the school system. I am honoured to work for Grande Prairie Catholic Family Services and am grateful for the opportunity to support students, families and educators.
